Hi. My name is Julie Harris and I’m a cook. More accurately, because I live and work in the Dordogne, I’m a “traiteuse à domicile”, which means a caterer who cooks in people’s homes and other kitchens.
I have owned a pub, a restaurant, a tea-rooms and two delicatessens in England, but now I cater for events and gîte-visitors in this beautiful area of France. I cook any cuisine people want – I’ve done English, French, Chinese, Swedish, Scottish (especially on Burns Nights!) and many others – but, as you might guess, I specialise in curry: Indian, Thai, Vietnamese or Indonesian.
