My first Curry Night at the Star Inn in Périgueux last Tuesday was a great success. Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Jalfrezi were the favourite choices, but I also did a Vegetable Curry and Chicken Korma, with loads of Papadoms to start and four side dishes. Lots of hard work, but the feedback from the 35 customers was extremely rewarding – “an Indian chef would have been proud of this food”; “when’s the next one, we want to book now” – so it all seems worth it. Thanks to Mike and Bev for giving me the opportunity. Thinking of a Thai Night for the next one!
